Wearing and care of contact lenses
Contact lenses must be maintained in accordance with their care requirements. They must be carefully maintained and cleaned to prevent the accumulation of various deposits and dirt on the lens surface. Please consult our opticians for the right care products for your contact lenses.
How do I put in and take out my contact lenses?
The schedule for wearing and changing your lenses is very important for your eye health. Equally important is to follow the instructions given by your eye care professional for proper contact lens care.
How do I clean and care for my contact lenses?
Wearing contact lenses causes very fine dirt and dust to settle on their surface. Proper cleaning and care of contact lenses removes up to 90% of bacteria and thus protects your eyes from possible adverse effects.
Which contact lens solution to choose?
Although most multifunctional solutions are suitable for all contact lenses, there are exceptions due to the compatibility of the solution ingredients with the contact lens material.

Frequently asked questions
Is the prescription for glasses suitable for contact lenses ?
It is recommended to see an eye care professional before buying contact lenses, as the prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses are different. Why? First of all, contact lenses are placed directly on the cornea, whereas glasses are placed further away (on the nose), so the strength of glasses and contact lenses often differs. It is also important to consider other parameters when selecting contact lenses: basal curve, diameter, etc.
How old can I start wearing contact lenses?
There is no age limit that prevents contact lenses from being worn – they can be worn by both children and older people. It is important to learn how to insert/remove your contact lenses correctly, how to care for them and how to follow the contact lens wear time recommended by your eye care professional.
Is there a difference between contact lenses for the left and right eye?
There is no difference between left and right contact lenses. If the vision parameters of both eyes are the same, lenses bought in one box are suitable for both eyes. However, to avoid confusion in the future, get into the habit of putting the contact lens in the right eye first.
Can contact lenses fall out of my eyes?
Contact lenses cannot fall out if they are correctly fitted and have the correct hood.
Do wearing contact lenses dry my eyes ?
Thanks to the latest technology, modern contact lenses provide high oxygen permeability and maintain the right amount of moisture to protect your eyes from drying out. However, to maintain maximum eye comfort, we recommend using hydrating eye drops, especially if you spend a lot of time in conditions that are not good for your eyes (e.g. working in front of smart screens, etc.).
Can contact lenses break?
Yes, contact lenses can break, but only if you are careless. The thinnest lenses are the most likely to tear, while silicone hydrogel lenses are more resistant to tearing.
Can I wear contact lenses longer than recommended by the manufacturer ?
Do not wear contact lenses for longer than the manufacturer’s instructions, as this increases the chance of infections.
